Lullabies

What am I doing right now? A very important task: learning a couple more songs to sing to the children to send them off to sleep. Even though I love little songs and nursery rhymes, I like to have something a bit longer to sing, and I'm ready to leave "Scarborough Fair" and "Carra Barra Wirra Canna" behind for a while, God love 'em. Tonight I'm working on "Starry Starry Night" (nice Youtube video here with slideshow of paintings) and "The Teddy Bears' Picnic" (because Kees wanted a song about wild animals, a cave and a bear....ummm, this is the best I could come up with :0)). Any brilliant ideas?

  1. 'Puff the Magic Dragon' has a wild animal and a cave, but no bear :( Perhaps you could convince Kees if you tell him that this song has noble kings AND pirate ships to make up for the lack of bears!

  2. I think you might like the video we have on our home page of LullabyLink.com. You have two beautiful "Children of Sunshine" While you are there we have over 40 lullabies with lyrics and melodies. So proud of you for singing to your children! You are creating moments they will remember forever.

    Blessings,
    Amy
